Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is broadly categorized in two broad level on-page SEO and Off-page SEO. Before going into detail let’s first understand what is on-page and Off-page SEO.

On-page SEO is a process of optimizing a website by making changes on the website where as off-page is the process of gaining the backlinks performing activities on different websites.

Now, let’s move on to on-page SEO checklist. The below is the checklist seems to be very effective if you follow it in a right way. I have listed 33 on-page elements. Google search engine consider these as the evaluation parameters. Apart of that there are some other off-page factors that consider to be important to rank a website on targeted keywords. Before moving into off-page let’s have a look on the on-page SEO checklist.

  • Keywords in Title Tag
  • Unique title for every page
  • Title length should be between 55 to 65 characters
  • Brand Name in Title
  • Keywords in Meta Description
  • Unique Meta description for every page
  • Brand Name in Meta Description
  • Title length should be between 150 to 160 characters
  • OG Meta Tags
  • Keywords in H1 and H2 (Heading tags)
  • Keyword density within content

The more backlinks from high authority nice website can leads to success. Ranking of a keyword mostly depends on the type of backlink.

There are two types of links –

  • Dofollow
  • Nofollow

Now, the question comes which type of links Google prefer to have and what are the differences between the two?

With Dofollow backlink, link juice flows with page authority were as links with nofollow only traffic flow. As per SEO point of view dofollow is more important to gain ranking.

But by having only dofollow backlink is not the solution, a website must have the combination of both types of link.
