JNU Increased Entrance Examination Fee

JNU is going to increase the entrance examination fees by 27%. Students from different categories like General, OBC and Abroad need to pay accordingly. All the aspirants who are going to appear in the entrance examination need to pay 27% more.

The increased examination cost i.e. 27% is not applicable for the candidates from SC/ST, Physically disabled and BPL categories. The examination fees increased after 13 years said by an official.

The decision was taken in the most recent meeting of the Academic Council followed by the Executive Council.

The comparison between the old and new fee structure –

Application fee for BA

  • Rs. 420 for choosing one and addition program the fee would be Rs. 630 and Rs. 800 respectively.
  • Now the new fee structure would be Rs. 530, Rs. 800 and Rs. 1000.

Application fee for other courses

  • For MPhil, PhD, MTech, MSc, MCA and MA the free cost was Rs.300 and now it increased to Rs. 400.
  • For additional disciplines, the candidate pay Rs. 575 and now they have to pay Rs. 750.
